Dean's List

I just discovered today a letter from college. At first I figured it was just a bill, letting me know I was behind on payments, but NO!
I got on the DEAN'S LIST!! WAH-HOOO!!
Go me. Go me. Go me... ((pats self on back))

Nearly Summer Now

Today is my last class, so I suppose I'll be enjoying a good beer tonight to commemorate the end of a great semester. I'll be taking a class over the summer and trying my hand at working a couple jobs all the while. Sounds like a good summer for a good beer, here and there. I'll let you know what my favorite summer beer is:

Shiner® Hefeweizen.

Colour Love

Recently I've stumbled upon COLOURlovers, a creative design community centered around *gasp* color (or "colour", whichever your spelling preference)!
I started a profile and found the experience quite addictive.

Other color-related sites:
    colr.org
    flickr colr pickr
    Color Scheme Designer
General Color Theory for Design -more here-

So, there's color for ya.

Inspiration

Since this is my second post, I felt it necessary to pay homage to the Designers Republic (tDR), whose creative designs inspired my path into the world of graphic design. tDR were instrumental in my decision to direct my creative energies into the field, and for that I will be forever grateful. I realized the extent to which ones creative talents could be directed upon discovering Wip3out, a video game with many elements designed by tDR.
Unfortunately tDR closed their doors on January 20th, 2009, leaving behind a long history of visually stunning creations which pushed the boundaries of modern graphic design and created quite a following in the design community. They will be missed.
